Judge or Love – You Decide

Marion Youngblood, Coach | Speaker | Writer

Every single day, really good people get hurt and stopped in their tracks because someone judges them. These good people I am talking about are doing the best they can, and they, like most of us, care deeply about what others think of them. So when they are judged, they hurt inside and they suffer.

Interestingly, the person who judged may or may not even know the target of their judgment. Yet their judgment has the power to diminish the precious life-energy of their target.

Think about it . . . When you have felt judged, didn’t it feel like someone punched you in the gut and took your breath away? Or maybe it felt like a slap in the face and it pissed you off. Either way, your life-energy was changed by the judgment, and not for the better.

That’s what judgment does. It steals life-energy. It leaves us feeling fractured.

To me, that is a tragedy.

And that’s exactly what we do to others when we judge them. We diminish their life-energy.

We diminish the life-energy of people we may or may not know when we judge them. We diminish the life-energy of people who may or may not be important to us when we judge them.

Whose life-energy would you like to target today?

Whether on purpose or not, when you judge, that is what you do. You are like a hunter who is out to diminish the life-energy of those to whom you dole out your judgment.

Let’s stop.

Let’s choose love instead.

There can be love instead of judgment and we can stop the hurting and the suffering.

The best way I know to do this is for each of us to like who we are and who we are becoming. If we’ll get busy using our precious life-energy to live in alignment with who we most want to be, we will not waste that energy judging others.

We have a limited amount of precious life-energy and we choose how we spend it. Let’s spend it on being our best selves, offering love, not judgment.

Let’s do this.

What you do next matters . . .
