You know that feeling you get when you are positively overcome with excitement? That deep sense of joy that fills you up when you have a sense of accomplishment?
Excitement, joy and a sense of accomplishment are beautifully intoxicating feelings.
They are the kinds of feelings that make you feel so full that you throw your hands in the air!
When do you get those?
Well, I am sure betting it ain’t from checking in on Facebook or any other social media or watching the Kardashians’ shenanigans. And it’s not from having conversations with your “frenemies” or others who don’t support you.
You deserve those feelings of excitement and joy and most definitely, you deserve to feel good about what you are getting done in and with your life.
YOU DESERVE ALL OF THAT. On the regular. Like daily.
To experience excitement, joy and a sense of accomplishment on a regular basis, you have to know what you are building with your life.
If you are intentionally building something with your life, those “throw your hands in the air” moments aren’t scarce. They are directly connected to the things you are doing. In fact, they are so connected to your choices and your actions that you can, with ease, figure out what’s working to give you what you want and what’s not. From there, you can carry on, replicate or adjust.
This is beautiful and yes, intoxicating, because when you know what you are building with your life, you know what’s most important to you and better yet, your values have informed your goals and you are doing what you are doing on purpose.
The hardest and darkest times in my own life were when I was empty of goals and purpose. From that place, it was easy to feel like what I chose to do next really didn’t matter. Everything seemed so random. So disconnected.
But this I know for sure, and I know you know it too: What you do next matters…
You and I have this one life. It’s a precious privilege.
If you haven’t already, it’s time to get in touch with what you are building with your life. Check in with your values and goals.
Get ready to throw your hands in the air! Now that’s LIVING!
