What Will You Allow In The New Year?

Marion Youngblood, Coach | Speaker

They are all over the place right now.

Those year-end reviews of the “best of” and “worst of” the past year. It’s entertaining for sure. But it’s mighty subjective and that got me thinking…

What’s the best way for you and me to do our own year-end review?

Well, with all the respect I can offer, I think the answer is this:

FORGET LOOKING BACKWARD!

START FROM EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW AND COMMIT YOURSELF TO BEING FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR WHO YOU ARE BECOMING AND WHAT YOU ARE GIVING TO YOUR LIFE AND ALL THAT’S IN IT.

And there’s is one more thing I would like to offer:

STOP ASSUMING RESPONSIBILITY FOR HOW THE PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE ARE RECEIVING WHAT YOU ARE GIVING.

Because you will make yourself nuts if you do. Not to mention you will be stunting the growth that the other person needs for their life path. (I know if you are doing this it isn’t on purpose, so now you’ve been reminded to stop.)

That’s all the year-end review I can see as helpful.

It’s pretty simple really…Line up your life with what’s most important to you and your core values. After that, allow your life to unfold naturally. You will be amazed.

Happy New Year!
